Cleric Urges Nigerians to Pray for Success of Buhari Administration

‎Pastor Abraham Okunade of the Nigerian Baptist Convention on Wednesday urged Nigerians to pray for the success of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Okunade told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Osogbo that the present economic challenges in the country needed God’s intervention.

He said that a lot of mistakes had been made by past leaders and the president needed wisdom to correct the wrongs in order to move the nation forward.

“The hardship we are going through in the country now is informed by the mistakes of some our past leaders.

“Wisdom is needed by anyone at the helm of affairs in this country to lead the nation to its desired destination,” Okunade said.

According to him, religious leaders must continue to pray for the success of the president and his aides so as to make Nigeria a better place.

He also called on clerics not to relent in their fervent prayers for the nation, noting that the prayers of the righteous would yield positive results from God.

Okunade urged the president to continue with the fight against terrorism and kidnapping, among other vices in the country.
