Electric Cable Vandal Electrocuted in Katsina

A suspected electric cable vandal has been electrocuted at the premises of Katsina State History and Culture Bureau in Kofa Guga part of the state. 
This was disclosed in a press statement issued on Wednesday by Aliyu Jamilu, Public Relations Officer, Katsina State Command of Nigerian Civil Defense Corps.
According to Jamilu, On the 23rd September, 2014 at about 0300hrs, a lifeless body of a suspected PHCN vandal was discovered by the staff of the Katsina State History and Culture Bureau, at the Katsina Open Air Theater, Kofa Guga, Katsina.

He said the Head of Anti vandal Unit of the Command Bishir Dansada Kurfi stated that his men who were on patrol, were alerted by the officials of the Katsina State History and Culture Bureau and quickly rushed to the scene.
“The yet to be identified suspect was believed to be an armoured cable vandal who met with his death via electrocution in an attempt to disconnect an armoured cable connected to the transformer”.

Jamilu called on the members of the general public to desist from such acts because of the imminent danger that is associated with such illicit activities and reiterated the commitment of the command in ridding the town out of all criminals and vandals.
He said all hands are on deck to checkmate the excesses of vandals across the state as all security agencies are working 24/7 to curb vandalisation activities in the state and calls for more information sharing within the security agencies and members of the general public in order to take more proactive measures.
