Kwara Gov: Emulate Virtues of Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammed

Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara has advised Nigerians to emulate the virtues of love and peace exemplified by Prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ.
Ahmed gave the advice in his Maulud Nabiyy and Christmas messages issued by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba in Ilorin on Wednesday.
The governor enjoined the people to be their brothers’ keepers as the country celebrates the birthdays of Prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ.
He said Nigerians should always walk the path of humility, self-denial and brotherliness, the hallmarks of the teachings of both religions.
Ahmed also advised that the period should be used to show love and affection, especially to the needy.
“Nigerians should be prepared to make sacrifices in these trying times to make the country better for all”, the governor said.
He commended Christian and Muslim leaders in the state for promoting religious harmony and urged them not to relent in their effort at building a better society.
The governor expressed his administration’s commitment to the well- being of the people and the delivery of the dividends of democracy.
