Police Detain 2 Persons over Alleged Murder of Delta Line Driver

The Police in Ogwashi-Uku, near Asaba, Delta State, have arrested and detained two persons for alleged complicity in the murder of a driver with Delta Line Transport service.

The Delta Line driver identified as Ationor (surname withheld) was said to have been murdered somewhere between Abah-Unor, and Adonte community in Ogwashi-Uku by suspected assailants who also reportedly made away with his Hummer bus.

But sources said the victim was allegedly lured to the lonely community road where he was murdered in cold blood.


Mr. Andrew Aniamaka, the Police Image-maker in the State, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects, gave their names as  Augustine Uwafili, 26, and Otonokpo Davis, 32 years old.

He added that they would be charged to court on completion of investigation.

It was gathered that one of the suspects, a spray-painter, was arrested and upon interrogation took the police detectives to the house of his gang member where the police took both to Ogwashi-Uku Police Division, and detained them.

It was gathered  that the victim was “hired” from the Delta Line Park in Ozoro community in Isoko council area by the unsuspecting persons and took them to where he was allegedly murdered.
