The Executive Officer A.C. Okocha Group of Companies, Chief Andrew Okocha, has called on Deltans to see the ongoing projects of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as investment rather than being discouraged, adding that the success of any government had been largely depended on the support, encouragement given to it.
Chief Okocha who spoke to journalists in Asaba on Monday however urged Deltans to see Delta Projects as their investment which require absolute attention, and responsibility, noting that it was the responsible of every Deltan to ensure that processes, and programmes of the present administration ensure that policies, and programmes of the present administration were fully implemented for the benefit of all Deltans.
He said that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa cannot fix Delta State alone without the supports of Deltans, emphasizing that within two years, and eight months of his administration, there have been land-mark projects.
Chief Okocha averred that Okowa will transform Delta State if he is given the needed support by the people.
Meanwhile, Dr. Omawumi Urhobo, Chief Executive Officer, Morgan Smart Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) has challenged women to live up to expectation by participating in all levels of human endeavors.
Dr. Urhobo who spoke alongside others at the 2018 International Day Celebration Mother’s Day to journalists in Asaba, said the United Nations action in recognition of the potentials of women in development, came up with the 1979 Exclusive Women Bill of Right called the “convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women”.
But Obi Martha Dunkwu, the Omu of Anioma, in her remarks, said women must find their purpose in creation, and must do everything possible to actualize its being faithful in marriage as wives, confident.
