2027: NNPP Not My Party, We’re Open to Discuss with Anyone, Says Kwankwaso

However, Kwankwaso said that his party was not in a hurry to enter into any form of agreement with anyone, even though they are ready to do whatever it takes to bring smiles to the faces of Nigerians.

National Leader of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has stated that the party is open to discussions with other parties, individuals, or coalitions ahead of the 2027 general elections.

However, Kwankwaso said that his party was not in a hurry to enter into any form of agreement with anyone, even though they are ready to do whatever it takes to bring smiles to the faces of Nigerians.

The former Kano State Governor, who spoke at the NNPP National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, said that at the moment, there is no discussion ongoing, adding that leaders and members of the party would be carried along for a collective decision to be reached.

“There was fake news recently, but at this meeting, we are going to take critical decisions, and so many people were excited to come and hear what that information is.

“Now actually, it wasn’t intended to say anything here, because in that direction, there is very little or nothing to say. I think that was not the intention of the meeting. We are ready to do whatever it takes, because we are not in a hurry.

“Members, the leadership and all of us are not in a hurry. We believe that we have something to offer at the end of the day, at the highest leadership level in this country.

“But we want to do it the way it should be done. We are ready to talk to anybody. As far as we are concerned, we are doing our business. Now we are ready to go. In fact, we are going. We are moving. But I can say here comfortably that we are politicians. We are ready to talk to anybody.

“If you want us to work together, okay, fine, let’s talk. We are ready to talk to anybody who wants us to work together for 2027 but the fact remains, this party is not my party, not the chairman’s party. It is not our party, only those of us here. It is for Nigerians.

“Everybody’s free to come in. And on the other hand, even though you don’t want anybody to leave, if somebody has to leave, what else can we do?

“If there is anything, if there is any negotiation, it will be collective, and not only for the negotiators, but for the entire members of this family of NNPP,” he stated.
