Former presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, says people who are making noise about defeating them in the 2027 general elections are living in denial.

Kwankwaso stated this in an interview with BBC Hausa during the continuation of his birthday celebration.

The ex-lawmaker reaffirmed his belief that the NNPP and the Kwankwasiyya movement would remain a dominant force in Nigerian politics, particularly in the North, come 2027.

When asked about the possibility of electoral malpractice in the 2027 general elections, the former Kano state governor expressed confidence that the process would be more transparent than in the past.

“Those making noise about defeating us in 2027 are living in denial.Things have changed — young people are now more politically aware.

“The coming election will not be like previous ones where money determined everything. The people now know better.

“We are confident of victory because our movement is people-oriented and based on service. Those who betrayed the cause will see the result of their actions at the polls,” he stated.
