Four people, including a doctor, have been killed in southwest Turkey after an ambulance helicopter collided with a hospital building and crashed into the ground.
The incident occurred in the city of Mugla on Sunday.
The city’s health ministry said in a statement that the incident occurred as the helicopter took off from the Mugla Training and Research Hospital to pick up a patient in the neighboring province of Antalya.
The helicopter was carrying two pilots, a doctor and another medical worker.
Mugla’s regional governor, Idris Akbiyik said the helicopter first hit the fourth floor of the hospital building before crashing into the ground.
He said no one inside the building or on the ground was hurt.
Akbiyik said the accident occurred during heavy fog, although the cause of the crash is still being investigated.
