Erik ten Hag has been referred to as one of the top managers in the world by Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana.
With his transfer to Old Trafford, Onana has reconnected with Ten Hag, his old Ajax teammate and manager, as well as Lisandro Martinez, Antony, and Donny van de Beek.
This reconnection was crucial to the Cameroonian’s choice.
Speaking with the Red Devils’ official website, the former Ajax and Inter Milan shot-stopper was asked how big an impact Ten Hag has had on him.
“Yeah, a very big impact, to be honest,” he told MUTV.
“We have done a lot of great things together, we reached the semi-final of the Champions League with Ajax.
“That was not something easy doing with a smaller club like Ajax. It’s something you only do every 20 or 25 years.
“We have a great relationship, he’s a top coach, for me one of the best in the world.”
