The Federal Government and the organised Labour are currently discussing behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Sunday’s emergency meeting which was at the behest of the Federal Government, is a last-minute effort to prevent the nationwide indefinite strike called by the Nigerian Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria slated for Tuesday.

Labour representatives at the meeting are the NLC President, Joe Ajaero; the TUC’s Secretary, Nuhu Toro and his NLC counterpart, Emma Ugbaja.

The FG’s team is led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
