A source from the Operatives of the Department of the State Service, DSS, has reacted to the arrest of the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Joe Ajaero.

In an interview, he stated that he had no comment on the arrest of Ajaero but requested our correspondent to send an official request for comment to the email address of the secret police.

While reacting to his arrest, a DSS official who was contacted at 1:03 pm on Monday, said he had no comment on the arrest of Ajaero but requested that an official request for comment be sent to the email address of the secret police.

It will be recalled that the DSS last week decided to scale back on Media visibility and opted to concentrate on its core mandate of covert operations to enhance national security.

The erstwhile director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications, Dr. Peter Afunanya was redeployed to continue his work elsewhere.
