The House of Representatives has approved Olufemi Oluyede as the Chief of Army Staff, COAS.
The confirmation came after a report was presented by Babajimi Benson, the chairman of the Committee on Defense.
Metrowatch reports that the Joint Committee on Army and Defense had screened Oluyede on Wednesday.
Recall that Oluyede was nominated by President Bola Tinubu as the Acting COAS due to the ill health of the former Chief of Army Staff, Taoreed Lagbaja, who later passed away.
