The Edo State College of Nursing Sciences has officially announced the commencement of its admission process for the 2025 academic session, calling on qualified male and female candidates to apply for various nursing programmes offered at the institution.
The available programmes include the National Diploma (ND) in Nursing, Post Basic Nursing and Midwifery (HND), and Public Health Nursing (HND), all taking place at the college’s main campus located at KM 6, Sapele Road, by Godwin Abbe Road, Benin City.
In a statement signed by the Registrar, Osayuki Jackson Obaseki, the college detailed the study durations for each programme: “Study period for the ND Nursing Programme is two (2) years. The Post Basic Midwifery and Public Health Nursing Programmes (HND) also span two (2) years each, while the Post-Basic Nursing Programme (HND) runs for three (3) years.”
Applications officially opened on Monday, June 9, 2025, and will close on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at exactly 12:00PM.
Entry Requirements
To be considered for admission, prospective applicants must meet the following criteria:
“Applicants must possess WAEC/NECO (O’Level) or NABTEB results with at least five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at not more than two (2) sittings. Awaiting results will not be accepted,” the statement read.
Candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of application. Additionally, applicants for the ND Nursing Programme must have sat for the 2025 JAMB examination.
Those seeking admission into the Post-Basic Nursing, Midwifery, and Public Health Nursing (HND) Programmes must possess valid RM/RN licenses or Notifications of Registration.

“Click on ‘TO APPLY NOW’ to begin the process. Applicants must complete the registration form and are advised to use their personal email addresses and keep their login details safe,” the notice stated.
A non-refundable application fee of ₦20,000 is to be paid to the college, along with a ₦500 fee to the Nursing and Midwifery Committee, Edo State.
“Please note: hard copy forms will not be sold,” the Registrar emphasised. “Applicants must provide a valid and functional email address and phone number for further communication.”
Examination Notice
The date and time of the entrance Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be announced in due course. Only candidates with valid government-issued identification and proof of payment will be allowed into the examination venue.
