The Nigeria Police Force has issued a statement dismissing a viral “wanted” notice circulating on social media about Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo.

The notice, widely circulated on social media, claiming Iyabo Ojo was wanted by the Office of the Inspector General of Police Monitoring Unit, was described by the police as “false, misleading, and not issued by the Force”.

In a post on its official Facebook page, the NPF clarified that the notice did not originate from the Force and was not posted on any of its official platforms.

The statement reads, “FAKE NEWS ALERT! This ‘WANTED’ poster of actress Iyabo Ojo did not emanate from the Nigeria Police Force. It is false, misleading & was never posted on any official NPF platform. Disregard & stop spreading fake news.”
