Cristiano Ronaldo Reveals When He’ll Retire from Football

Ronaldo admitted he was getting no younger and will not be available for the 2030 edition of the tournament.

Former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has said that the 2026 World Cup tournament would be his last.

Ronaldo admitted he was getting no younger and will not be available for the 2030 edition of the tournament.

Ronaldo would have been 45 years old when the tournament returns in 2030.

Speaking to the media ahead of Portugal’s 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Iceland, Ronaldo said he is close to calling it time on his career.

The legendary Portuguese superstar still has a two-year contract with his Saudi Pro League side, Al-Nassr and believes it will be his final deal.

Asked about the FIFA World Cup and retirement, Ronaldo said, “Definitely, yes. I’m gonna be 41 years old and I think it will be the moment.

“Let’s be honest, when I mean soon, it’s probably one or two years, I’ll still be at the game.”

Ronaldo is the highest goalscorer in the history of football.

The 40-year-old has currently over 900 official goals and is close to hitting 1000 career goals.
