2027 Polls: Retired Military Veterans Visit Defence Minister, Back Tinubu

The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa has called on retired military officers to key into the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and support his return to power in the 2027 election.

According to him, President Tinubu has done well for the country and deserves a second term for him to complete his mandate.

Musa stated these in Abuja when he received a delegation of Military Veterans and Comrades championing his reelection in 2027 led by its National Coordinator, Elder Kenneth Siza, and members of its National Executive Committee (NEC).

He described the engagement as a significant step in strengthening the participation of military veterans and ex-service personnel in the ongoing mobilization efforts aimed at consolidating support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 elections.

“As we prepare for the 2027 election, we must all work hard together. I’m happy because of the calibre of people behind this organisation. I have agreed to be your Grand Patron, after all I am also a veteran. Take your mobilisation to the grassroots, that is the local government and ward levels”, he said.

Siza said the visit highlights the growing influence and organizational strength of Military Veterans and Comrades for PBAT2027, a platform committed to uniting veterans, retired military personnel, and patriotic citizens across the country behind a common vision of national development, security, economic growth, and political stability.

According to him, over the years, military veterans have remained respected stakeholders in nation-building, having dedicated their lives to protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Nigeria.

He said, “Today, many of these veterans are once again stepping forward—this time as ambassadors of civic engagement, grassroots mobilization, and democratic participation.

“The leadership of Military Veterans and Comrades for PBAT2027 has continued to expand its network across states and local government areas, encouraging veterans and their families to become active participants in shaping the future of the nation.

“Through advocacy, stakeholders engagement, community outreach, and strategic partnerships, the organization is building a formidable movement designed to amplify the voices and interests of veterans while supporting the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.”

The successful interaction with the Minister of Defence is seen as a clear demonstration of the group’s commitment to constructive engagement with key national institutions and stakeholders.

It also reinforces the organization’s dedication to promoting veterans’ welfare, national unity, security consciousness, and sustainable development.

Their commitment continues to inspire confidence among members and supporters who believe that veterans remain an important force for national progress and democratic stability.

Siza said, “As the countdown to 2027 gradually begins, Military Veterans and Comrades for PBAT2027 remain determined to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts, strengthen membership structures, expand stakeholder engagement, and rally support for the continuation of policies and reforms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.”

He said the organization remains confident that with unity, dedication, and collective action, military veterans across Nigeria will continue to play a pivotal role in advancing national development while contributing meaningfully to the success of the PBAT2027 project.
