Former Liverpool manager, Jürgen Klopp, has confirmed he is ready to become Germany’s next head coach following the departure of Julian Nagelsmann.
Nagelsmann stepped down from the role after Germany’s disappointing campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Klopp is now expected to succeed him, declaring that he is prepared to return to management after his break from coaching.
Speaking in New York while working as a pundit for Magenta TV, Klopp said: “Julian has stepped down and the [federation] is working on the succession and has approached me in the course of those considerations.
“About two years ago I stopped at Liverpool and said that I lacked the energy for another job or for another year with Liverpool.
“Since then I’m more than recharged, I’m ready.”
