President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Policy Communications, Daniel Bwala, has said opposition figures Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi and Rotimi Amaechi have made progress in their private ventures under the current administration.
Bwala made the claim during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday.
He was defending Tinubu’s statement that Nigeria had moved towards prosperity, arguing that Nigerians had already begun benefiting from the administration’s policies and programmes.
Bwala cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, infrastructure projects and the performance of private businesses linked to opposition figures as examples of progress under Tinubu.
He specifically referred to a commercial bank where Obi chairs the Board of Trustees, saying its reported profit showed that the former Anambra State governor had benefited from the current economic environment.
“Go to the bank that Peter Obi chairs and look at the profit they posted last year; that’s prosperity,” Bwala said.
He also challenged Atiku and Amaechi to disclose whether their private businesses had recorded progress and profits over the past two years.
“If you look at Rotimi and Atiku, if they have private enterprises and they can be truthful before God, let them tell you that they have not made progress and profit in the last two years,” he said.
