Super Eagles Head Coach, Éric Chelle, has once again defended Samuel Chukwueze for his penalty miss in the side’s defeat to Morocco.

Chukwueze has come under intense criticism after Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou easily saved his tame effort in the shootout.

Nigeria lost 4-2 on penalties to the Atlas Lions after the game ended 0-0 during full-time and extra time.

Left-back Bruno Onyemaechi was the other player, who missed for Nigeria.

Chelle has, however, jumped to the defence of Chukwueze claiming he’s best penalty taker in the team.

“Samuel Chukwueze is the best penalty taker of the team, he never misses in training, maybe out of 400 but the feeling to take for every player was different, maybe the crowd.I think if we play the penalties in Uyo, Abuja or Lagos, we win for sure,” Chelle told reporters.
