Former Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh has backed the team to have a positive outing at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

There are doubts on the chances of team making a meaningful impact at the AFCON following their failure to qualify for the 2026FIFA World Cup.

Oliseh has been critical of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, in recent times.

But the former Ajax midfielder has backed the Super Eagles to go all the way in Morocco.

“Contrary to what many may think, I am very optimistic about our chances at the AFCON,” he told The Observer.

“To start with, the players one goal in mind, which is the AFCON.”
