Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has led a delegation of top government officials and dignitaries to Madina, Saudi Arabia, for the funeral rites of late elder statesman and business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata.
The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Monday.
He said, “His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has travelled to Madina to attend the funeral of late Alhaji Aminu Dantata, a respected philanthropist and elder statesman.”
According to the statement, the high-powered delegation includes the Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II; Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi; former Jigawa Governor, Barr. Ali Sa’ad Birnin Kudu; and other top officials and dignitaries from Kano State.
Recall that Dantata passed away on Friday night in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
