The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Kamilu Sa’idu Wanban Kasuwar Daji, as the winner of the supplementary election for Kaura Namoda South State Constituency in Zamfara State.
The Returning Officer, Professor Lawal Sa’ad of the Federal University Gusau, announced the result, stating that the APC candidate polled 8,182 votes to defeat his closest rival from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who scored 5,543 votes.
He said Kamilu Sa’idu, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes, was duly declared winner and returned elected.
