Former Jigawa State Governor and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart, Sule Lamido, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of worsening Nigeria’s economic challenges and deepening hardship for citizens.

He revealed that the APC time in power has increased poverty and hardship for Nigerians.

Speaking at an expanded caucus meeting of the PDP in Dutse, Lamido described the years of APC rule under former President Muhammadu Buhari and current President Bola Tinubu as a betrayal of Nigerians’ hopes.

“Since Buhari and now Tinubu, Nigerians are suffering. Poverty is everywhere, youths are jobless, and the economy is collapsing. They say they are fighting for Nigeria, but in reality, they only fight for themselves and their pockets,” Lamido told party members.

Drawing from over four decades in politics, Lamido traced his political roots to the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) struggles of 1979, emphasizing the importance of integrity, sacrifice, and service to the people.

He urged PDP members to remain anchored in principles of justice and fairness while avoiding selfishness and politics of insults.

He also called on the party to continue positioning itself as a credible alternative for Nigerians disillusioned by APC governance.
