A former Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Bayelsa State, Daniel Iworiso-Markson has said that the dismissal of the last batch of cases against Governor Douye Diri and his deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo was God’s manifestation of his word.
He said God had spoken that Diri was the appointed one to lead the state at this time and no combined physical or spiritual force was capable of replacing him.
Iworiso-Markson noted that there is no better way to explain how Diri and Ewhrudjakpo have consistently overcome all obstacles since they took over the leadership of the state if not for God’s favour and grace.
The former Commissioner thanked the judges at the Supreme Court for the fair judgements that has now put to rest all litigations involving the duo.
According to him, with all the distractions gone, the governor and his deputy will now concentrate and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people which they swore to do on February 14, 2020.
He expressed confidence in the ability of Diri to steer the ship of the state to greatness by building on the legacies of his predecessor and sustaining the milestones already achieved.
The immediate past spokesman to the government also called on Bayelsans irrespective of party affiliations to support the Prosperity Administration and pray for it to succeed as the state belongs to everyone.
He equally thanked those who have continued to stand by the government during the long period of the incessant legal battles, saying the latest victory justifies their patriotism.
