The Federal Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, Ondo State Capital, has affirmed the election of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The governor was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The Ondo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal had earlier affirmed Aiyedatiwa’s victory.

The tribunal dismissed petitions filed by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its governorship candidate, Agboola Ajayi, challenging the outcome of the election.
