Coup: Tinubu writes Senate for Military Intervention to Sack Niger Republic Junta | METROWATCH

*President Bola Tinubu

The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) on Wednesday in Abuja upheld the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25, 2023 presidential election.

This was as the Tribunal dismissed all the petitions by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) challenging Tinubu’s declaration as the winner of the 2023 presidential election, for lacking in merit.

“This petition accordingly lacks merit. I affirm the return of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the duly elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The parties are to bear their cost,” the court held in its final judgement.
