President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday appointed Senator Magnus Abe of Rivers State into the newly reconstituted Board of Directors of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). Abe represents the South-south zone on the board.
This is sequel to the expiration of the term of the board members appointed in 2016.
The Special Adviser to the President, Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed this. Members of the new Board are: Mohammed Lawal (North West), Tajudeen Umar (North East), Adamu Mahmood Attah (North Central), Dr Stephen Dike (South East), and Chief Pius Akinyelure (South West).
The new board will be in place for three years.
