President Bola Tinubu has rewarded each player of the Nigerian female senior basketball team, the D’Tigress team, with $100,000.
Tinubu also gave each of the players a new apartment for emerging champions at the just-concluded African championship.
Additionally, each coach will receive $50,000.
The president equally bestowed the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger, OON, on each member of the team.
The development is coming days after the $100,000 gift for the Super Falcons sparked controversy.
The Super Falcons won the Women’s African Cup of Nations championship held in Morocco.
