The Southwest Public Relations Officer of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Honourable Kilamuwaye Oladayo Badmus, alongside his close friends—Kayode OlowoIjeun, Hon. Kayode Oludele, Mr Femi OlowoIjeun and Lookman Cwealth—joined other well-wishers in Coventry, United Kingdom, to celebrate the wedding of their longtime friend, Christopher Olaide, and his bride, Omolade Omolola, on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
The wedding ceremony took place at Christ Apostolic Church Outreach Coventry, Stoke Heath Community Centre, 14 Burroughs Close, Coventry CV2 3QH, followed by a traditional engagement and reception at Royale Mint Banqueting Suite, 11-12 King William Street, Coventry CV1 5JD.
Speaking with our correspondent from the venue, Honourable Kilamuwaye expressed his delight at witnessing the joyous occasion and reaffirmed the deep bond of friendship and brotherhood that has connected them since their high school days at Reverend Kuti Memorial Grammar School, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.
“Christopher is not just a friend; he is family. We have shared countless memories from our school days, and when he found his life partner, we knew we had to be here to celebrate with him. Distance was never a barrier to honoring this special moment, and that is why we left London to share in this joyful occasion with the couple,” Kilamuwaye said.
He further prayed for the couple, wishing them a lifetime of joy, prosperity, and a home filled with love.
“May God bless your union abundantly. We wish you a marriage filled with love, good health, and prosperity, with children who bring joy and fulfillment,” he added.
The wedding ceremony, attended by family, friends, and well-wishers from different parts of the world, was marked by cultural elegance, spiritual blessings, and a vibrant atmosphere of love.
Lookman Cwealth, one of the groom’s closest friends, played a significant role as the Best Man, standing by Christopher throughout the event.
The presence of Honourable Kilamuwaye and his friends underscored the enduring power of friendship, unity, and shared history, proving that true bonds withstand the test of time and distance.
