APC ‘ll take retain Osun, says  Fayemi

‎President Muhammadu Buhari,  Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and some governors of the All Progressive Congress (APC) on Thursday met behind closed at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The governors of Katsina, Aminu Masari; Zamfara and Chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum, Abdulaziz Yari; Kebbi, Atiku Bagudu; Ogun, Ibikunle Amosun as well as the Ekiti State governor-elect, Kayode Fayemi.

The Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmed tweeted photograph of Buhari, Osinbajo and Saraki and indicated that it was after their meeting‎.

The agenda of the meeting was not made public.

This is the first time Sakari will visit the Presidential Villa since July 6th when the Supreme Court freed him of charges in the case of false assets declaration at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT.

The senate on Tuesday was in a rowdy session on Tuesday over the supplementary budget submitted by the President where he had asked the National Assembly to take out the allocations in their constituency projects to fund INEC budget for the 2019 elections.

The meeting lasted about 30 minutes but the Senate President declined to talk to State House Correspondents who had approached him to comment on the agenda of the meeting.

The Ekiti State Governor-elect, Kayode Fayemi told State House Correspondents that they came to rejoice eith the President over his election victory.

The former Minister of Mines and Solid Mineral Development who displayed his Certificate of Return from the INEC also jokingly said that Ekiti State election had gone and that the All Progressives Congress will also take over Osun State.
