Cote d’Ivoire head coach, Emerse Fae has backed Ademola Lookman to win the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year.

The 2024 CAF Awards ceremony will hold at the Palais des Congrés in Marrakech, Morocco on Monday night (today).

Lookman will battle Simon Adingra, Achraf Hakimi, Rowen Williams and Serhou Guirassy for the prestigious award.

Fae believed Lookman deserved to win more than the other nominees.

“I wish it’s Adingra because he’s my player but Ademola Lookman deserves it, he played very well and scored goals at the AFCON and also did well for his club Atalanta, scoring three goals in the Europa League finals,” he told Ojb Sports.

Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen won the award last year.
