Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has said his team was not “clinical” as they lost 4-3 at Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup quarter-final on Thursday night.

The hosts took a three-goal advantage thanks to Dominic Solanke (brace) and Dejan Kulusevski.

However, United scored twice through Joshua Zirkzee and Amad Diallo.

Heung-Min Son then scored a fourth for Spurs, before Johnny Evans headed in the seventh goal of the game.

Amorim, speaking to Sky Sports, said: “We disconnected at the beginning of the second half, that was difficult.

“If you look at all of the games we were the best team but they were more clinical.

“We lost but the fight from the lads was really important for me.”
