The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has voted to retain all key monetary policy parameters including the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR).
CBN Governor, Olayemi Cardoso disclosed this at the 300th Monetary Policy Committee Meeting briefing in Abuja on Tuesday.
The apex bank resolved to retain the MPR at 27.5 percent, along with the asymmetric corridor around the MPR at +500/-100 basis points.
It also maintained the Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) at 50 percent for deposit money banks and 16 percent for merchant banks, while the Liquidity Ratio was held steady at 30 percent.
