The National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), South-South, Chief Dan Orbih, has commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for his developmental strides within just one month in office.
Orbih said this, while serving as the Father-of-the-Day, at the first anniversary celebration of an online TV station, BeeTV on Monday in Benin.
Orbih acknowledged the governor’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy through practical governance.
His remarks coincided with the commencement of the Edo State Governorship Election Tribunal’s sitting in Benin to hear the PDP’s petition against the election of Okpebholo as the governor of the state on Sept. 21.
Orbih expressed confidence in the governor’s leadership qualities, saying, “You have started well.
“Our prayer for you is to finish well. For over three weeks, you have been the governor of the state, you are already making an impact on Edo people,” he said.
Orbih highlighted his willingness to support the governor, saying, “For over four years, I refused to attend any function of this status, but with you as the governor of Edo State, I have seen something new.
“I will identify with you because you mean well for Edo people”, he added.
Okpebholo, who also graced the event, commended the founder of the online TV station, Best Orator, for her achievements and encouraged her to continue her excellent work.
Okpebholo emphasized that his administration would remain supportive of her brand to ensure its success in the competitive broadcast industry.
Reflecting on his earlier encounter with the founder, the Governor said: “I first met you in 2023 while campaigning for my Senatorial seat.
“I was impressed by your determination and zeal. I am happy for your progress over the last year.
” The sky is your limit, and God will grant you greater success in the media world,” Okpebholo said.
