Deploy ‘Adequate Logistics to Ensure Successful Polls’, ‎Emir of Zauzau Tasks INEC

  The Emir of Zauzau Alhaji Shehu Idris has charged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure adequate provision of logistics for a smooth execution of the 2015 elections.
The Monarch gave the charge when he led other Emirs to receive President Goodluck Jonathan at Gen. Hassan Katsina’s House prior to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential rally, yesterday.

He ‎further urged the commission to do everything within its power to avoid undue delay in deploying adequate logistics to the polling centres early.

Alhaji Idris also called on security agencies to provide adequate security, with a view to preventing violence and other vices capable of marring the election.
He assured that  both the traditional institution and religious leaders had been praying for the country.

According to the royal father, the unity and survival of the nation was paramount and as such all hands must be on deck to move it forward.

Earlier, President Jonathan said he was there to seek the blessing of the royal father for second term, so as to enable him and his team consolidate on the administration’s transformation agenda.
Jonathan listed modern rail corridor as one of the many projects his administration had done in the state.

He added that most presidents get distracted in their first tenure, but performed more during their second and final tenure as the issue of distraction would have drastically reduced.

The president promised to bring more development to bear both to Kaduna State and the entire nation if re-elected.
