Edo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has lashed out at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for allegedly populating its governorship campaign council with its (APC) members.
Accusing the PDP of deceit, the APC alleged that the inclusion of mostly foreigners on the campaign council was a desperation taken too far by the Obaseki-led party.

It has become imperative to caution the flailing People’s Democratic Party (PDP) against using the names of APC members and leaders as a lifeline in their desperate attempt to evade political demise.
The recent revelation regarding the inclusion of 200 names in the PDP campaign council raises serious concerns.
It has come to our attention that this list comprises individuals who are either foreigners, deceased, or predominantly members of the APC.
One notable mention is Hon Emmanuel Bello, the former chairman of Etsako Central Local Government Council, who is a staunch member of the APC.
This blatant manipulation of names for political gain is a testament to the deceitful tactics employed by the PDP.
The people of Edo State must remain vigilant and cautious of the PDP’s deceptive manoeuvres, which have become synonymous with the administration of Mr Godwin Obaseki.
Governor Obaseki’s administration has been marred by a legacy of sharp practices and disregard for ethical standards.
His endorsement of Asue Ighodalo as a puppet candidate further underscores his commitment to perpetuating such deceitful practices.
The APC calls on the electorate in Edo State to see through the facade of the PDP and reject any attempts to manipulate the electoral process.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to upholding the principles of transparency, integrity, and accountability in governance.
As we approach the forthcoming elections, we urge all stakeholders to uphold the sanctity of the electoral process and reject any form of manipulation or deceitful practices.
The future of our State depends on the collective will of Edo people to choose leaders of integrity and vision. Senator Monday Okpebholo and Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa the APC ticket is our best bet on this score.
