PRESS RELEASE:
Re-enrollment of APC governorship candidate, Monday Okpebholo, in an adult education class to learn basic subjects.
Since July 4th, 2024, that a Federal High Court, Abuja, nullified the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election that produced Asue Ighodalo as the party’s candidate in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State, the sinking party has been running from pillar to post, through the engagements of fifth columnist to peddle lies and falsehoods against the indisputable and untainted governorship candidate of the APC, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo.
Clearly, the impact of the Justice Inyang Ekwo’s landmark judgement that nullified the candidacy of Asue Ighodalo has demolished the cracked foundation of the PDP leading to its members disillusionment and despair, and in the attempt to struggle for last breath, the dying party is paying faceless individuals to peddle “tale by moonlight stories,” against the governorship candidate of APC.
Latest in the series of PDP paid propaganda is the purported claim that the APC governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo enrolled in an adult education class to learn basic subjects.
In the light of the forgoing, I wish to place it on record, that Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, the governorship candidate of APC, studied Business Administration in University of Abuja, and he has concluded his thesis in Masters in Governance and International Relations, in the same University of Abuja.
Once again, we sympathize with the PDP in their current political frustration occasioned by the nullification of the governorship primary election that produced the party’s governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo.
We however advise the party to focus on their appeal at the Court of Appeal, rather than paying faceless individuals to peddle lies and falsehoods against the APC governorship candidate who is not responsible for their political ordeal.
The PDP should be aware by now, that the people of Edo know better and as such, Edo people will no longer be bamboozled by their lies and falsehoods.
