Sir Clement Azeigbemi, blood brother of Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, has resigned from the party.
In his letter of resignation, Azeigbemi, younger brother to the state PDP chairman, said he took the action based on the impunity of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) and Governor Godwin Obaseki.
He said it was nauseating that the party at both the state and national levels cast their eyes on another direction in the face of worsening sharp division within the party.
Another top member of the Edo PDP that dumped the party today is Barrister Martin Omozogie Ighekpe.
He said the factionalisation of the party was so glaring that every serious leader would feel concerned about the dwindling fortunes of the PDP in the state.
