The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 21 election, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has assured the people of Esan West Local Government Area that, when elected as governor, he will restore the lost glory of the state-owned Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

During a strategic meeting earlier today, Senator Okpebholo assured the good people of Ekpoma that once he becomes governor, he will reduce the tuition fees and ensure that all campuses and lecturers owed their arrears will be cleared. Besides, he promised to reinstate all the victimised lecturers in the university.

He acknowledged the hardship faced by lecturers under Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration, particularly due to the illegal SIT. However, he said the prayers of the people have been answered, urging them to vote for him on September 21st.

Senator Okpebholo urged all the leaders present at the meeting to inform the people of Esan West that Ekpoma’s lost glory will be restored in a few months’ time.

The APC candidate used the opportunity of the strategic meeting to update the leaders on his activities at the Senate and the struggle to secure the party’s ticket.

He expressed gratitude for their unwavering support and vowed to protect the interests of every member of Esan land and Edo State.

He assured them of his commitment to governance guided by the fear of God if elected as governor.

Present at the meeting were the members representing Esan West State Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, his colleague representing Etsako West constituency 1, Hon. Hussain Mustapha Lecky, Hon. Victor Edoror Sabor, among others.
