Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in September 21 election, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on Wednesday paid a  condolence visit on the family of his slain security detail, Inspector Akor Onu, in Abuja.

Inspector Akor Onu was murdered in cold blood in Benin City last week Thursday during the unprovoked attack on the convoy of Senator Okpebholo by government-sponsored thugs and members of the State Security Network and Public Works officials.

It will be recalled that on Thursday last week, the motorcade of Senator Monday Okpebholo  was ambushed at the exit gate of the Benin Airport by the thugs.

During the attack, Inspector Akor Onu, a police detail of Senator Okpebholo was killed in cold blood without provocation.

The Senator in his condolence message during his visit to the family Onu, assured the children that he will ensure that the dream of their late father to train them to university level will become a reality.

“One of your father’s dreams was for all of you to become graduates in order to have a better future.

“I will not let that dream to die with him and I wont allow his killers to also kill that dream.

From this moment, I will be personally responsible for your education till university level.

“I want to seize this painful moment to assure you all, that I will not rest until the killers of your father are brought to justice.”

Senator Okpebholo gave a welfare package to the wife of the slain Inspector Onu and promised to cater for them.
