“It was a period to send a massive blow to the PDP for their ineptitude in handling the internal crises that has been rocking the growth of the party in the state, which has degenerated the party to the extent of not having a single Senator and having just a House of Representatives member in the state.
The Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has shown disdain, high-handedness, abuse of power, total disregard for those that welcomed and worked for his emergence since his second term.
This we have grown weary of and have unanimously as executives and leaders of the party in our various wards decided to resign our membership of the party.
We give kudos to the leadership of the legacy PDP particularly, Chief Dan Orbih for how he has fought for us thus far, but it is time we call it a quit.
Thank you for your understanding.”
