Owo Attack: Death Toll now Over 50; Women, Children Butchered – PDP

In a sad turn of events for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday at the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, the All Progressives (APC) lead counsel, Dr. Onyechi Ikpeazu, SAN, has exposed the lies of a witness of the PDP, Haruna Ibrahim, PW15, who lied on oath.

The witness had claimed that he saw the screenshot of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) result used for the September 21, 2024 governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INE) before he made his deposition.

When the witness came under cross examination by the lead counsel to the respondents (APC and Governor Monday Okpebholo), he was exposed and admitted to have lied on oath.

“This shameful act of the PDP trying to use the backdoors to get into power, kept everyone surprised at the court room, has further revealed the desperation of the PDP to get to power having woefully the election,” an APC chieftain in Abuja noted.

The PDP witness was exposed after the APC lead counsel established with evidence that whereas the statement by the witness was made on 11th October, 2024 the screenshot he claimed to have seen before signing his statement in December 2024 was actually certified by INEC on January 8, 2025.
