Edo government has warned land grabbers against encroaching on the Lot A parcel of land (popularly known as Coral City) at the Obagie Acquisition in Benin.

This is contained in a statement by Fred Itua, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Monday Okpebholo on Wednesday in Benin.

Itua quoted Okpebholo as saying that violators would face wrath of the law should they fail to desist from selling, building, or buying any land from any speculator in the designated area.

The governor said that the entire Obagie acquisition (Lot A) belonged to the state government.

According to him, the property of anyone in Lot A will be demolished and the encroachers will be prosecuted.

He, however, said that plans were underway to return Lots B, C, and D of the Obagie Acquisition to their owners/occupants as earlier promised by the current administration.

He reiterated that this notice served as final warning to land grabbers and encroachers on government lands in Lot A and others across the state. (NAN)
