Ogochukwu Isioma, a Special Assistant to the Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, has congratulated the publisher of METROWATCH online newspaper, Mr. Collins Edomaruse on his appointment as a member of the state’s Governor-Elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo’s Inauguration Planning Committee.
Mr. Edomaruse was among the 40-member Inauguration Committee inaugurated by Senator Okpebholo on Wednesday, in Benin City ahead of his inauguration as Executive Governor of Edo State on November 12.
In a statement he personally signed, Isioma, a journalist at METROWATCH, described the veteran journalist’s appointment as “well-deserved.”
He said, “Your dedication, expertise, and passionate service to our community have earned you this esteemed recognition. As Publisher of METROWATCH, a popular online newspaper, your contributions to shaping public discourse and promoting civic engagement are truly commendable.
“I laud your appointment, recognizing your unwavering commitment to excellence and community development. Your inclusion in the Inauguration Planning Committee is a testament to your visionary leadership.”
Isioma, who also hails from Igbanke in Orhionmwon local government area of the state, thanked the Governor-Elect, “for identifying and appointing a noble Igbanke son to this crucial role”, saying, “This appointment underscores your dedication to empowering deserving individuals and fostering inclusive governance.”
“May this appointment inspire continued excellence and community service. Once again, congratulations, Dìókpá Collins Edomaruse,” the statement added.
Mr. Collins Edomaruse is a member of several professional bodies including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), and Secretary of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP). He is also the Co-Founder, Igbanke Unity Forum (IUF) and a former Editor at THISDAY.
