Ekiti House Condoles with Colleague over Death of Spouse

Members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly have paid a condolence visit to the home of one of its member, Hon Titilayo Owolabi-Akerele, who recently lost her husband. 

The delegation, led by the Leader of Business,  Hon Akinyele Olatunji,  in company with three other members, were at the Lagos home of the deceased to commiserate with the lawmaker and her family. 

Hon Akinyele described the death of  Mr Akerele Samuel as painful and prayed that God would grant the family the fortitude to forge ahead. 

Accordingto a statement by tthe House Speaker’s Special Assistant on media, Stephen Gbadamosi, the Leader of Business submitted a letter of condolence signed by the Speaker of the House,  Rt Hon (Pastor)  Kola Oluwawole and expressed the sympathy of the state government to the family. 

He promised that the state government and the Assembly would play their part in the funeral arrangements. 

A daughter of the deceased,  Mrs Tumise Opaleye, who announced that the final burial rite for the deceased would take place on July 19, appreciated the team for the visit and promised the support of the family to the state government. 

The late Mr  Akerele hailed from Ayede – Ekiti in Oye local government area. 

Other members of the delegation are Hon. Pelemo Dare,  Hon. Aladeyelu Sanya and Hon (Mrs) Cecilia Dada.
