Calvin Bassey was overjoyed to score for Fulham in Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Bassey netted the game’s curtain raiser late in the first half with a powerful header.
It was the Nigeria international’s first-ever goal in the competition.
Bruno Fernandes equalised for United 19 minutes from time.
Fulham later prevailed 4-3 on penalities.
“It’s a privilege and an honour to be here. To come here, it is a blessing, so I’m happy,” Bassey told BBC.
“I like to say I’m a bit of a poacher. Trying to smell where the ball would go and reacted first. Put my head on it and back of the net.
“They’re a very good team with a lot of talent. We tried to take the sting out of the game and control possession.”
