Ekiti State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development,
Chief (Mrs.) Mojisola Fafure has called on religious organisations not
to relent on their support and prayers for the Fayemi-led administration.
Chief Fafure made the call in Ado-Ekiti while receiving representatives of the NASFAT Society, led by its national  leader, Mrs. Suwebat Kupolati, on a courtesy visit to her office in Ado-Ekiti.
The Commissioner reiterated the determination of the present
administration to rapidly develop the state and move the people from
the pitiable state of poverty to the realm of prosperity, through empowerment programmes, primarily targeted at women, children and youths in the society.
Fafure assured that Government would continue to give necessary
support to vulnerable people in the state, noting that the wife of the
Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi was a long standing gender advocate, who
is very passionate about providing lasting solutions to the challenges
of the vulnerable.
Fafure lauded NASFAT as a big religious organization that has
contributed tremendously to the education sector in the country, with
the establishment of educational institutions from primary to
university level.
She assured that the present administration would continue to partner
interested well-to-do individuals and corporate organizations from
religious and secular sectors of the society in the task of developing
the state.
Earlier in her remarks, the National Women Leader of NASFAT, Mrs.
Suwebat Kupolati, explained that the visit was to formally inform the
Ministry of the forthcoming Biennial NASFAT Women Conference, slated
to hold from 9th to 12th April, 2020 in the state.
Mrs. Kupolati said that the programme would focus on health, education, livelihood and dawad (evangelism).
