Fire Guts FIIRO Office in Lagos

It was gathered that the fire broke out around midnight on Wednesday, Christmas Day.

The Federal Institute of Industrial Research, FIIRO, office in Oshodi, Lagos, near Cappa Bus Stop has been gutted by fire.

It was gathered that the fire broke out around midnight on Wednesday, Christmas Day.

Rescue operation continued as of 5 am Thursday, Boxing Day.

According to Vanguard, men of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, in collaboration with the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA, are currently battling to contain the blaze.

Although no casualties have been reported so far, the fire has reportedly destroyed property worth millions of naira.

Efforts are underway to prevent the flames from spreading to adjoining offices and buildings.
