The Edo Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Sunday held a Thanksgiving Service as part of the celebration of 30 years Anniversary of the establishment of the Corps.
The thanksgiving service was held at the Living Faith Church, Benin/ Agbor road, Benin.
The Sector Commander, Mr Samuel Odukoya, at the service, emphasised the need for both personnel of the corps as well as motorists to be obedient to constituted authority.
Odukiya said that safety on the road was a collective responsibility, and that there was the need for all to be vanguards of safety.
He noted that the corps’ journey to 30 years had been rough, but that the challenges were surmounted.
He urged all to be law abiding and obey traffic rules and regulations.
Earlier, the Resident Pastor of the Church, Pst Oluwole Wise while speaking on the topic ” Breaking Generational Curses”, urged all to be obedient in all they were doing to avoid any form of curse, especially the Prophet’s curse.
According to Wise, Prophets were those put in places of authority, and there is the need to obey them, as their curse usually is very effective, and their pronouncements always have the backing of God.
He explained that there were six other types of curses which include, the curse of bitterness; the curse of Satan; Generation curse; curse of man; curse of the law and the curse of God.
The Cleric said that salvation, working in obedience to God, as well as doing the will of God were the only way to destroy curses.
NAN reports that special prayers were said for the corps and its personnel by the Cleric and the congregation.
