Michael Patrick, an Irish actor best known for his part in the blockbuster television series Game of Thrones, has died at the age of 35 after a lengthy illness.
His wife, Naomi Sheehan, confirmed his death and said that the actor had been suffering from motor neurone disease for the past three years.
Sheehan expressed her heartfelt grief at the loss in a fervent tribute, describing her late husband as an example to all who knew him throughout his life.
She mentioned that, despite his condition, he was adored for his colourful personality, friendliness, and uplifting presence.
“Words can’t capture the depth of our heartbreak. Mick inspired everyone fortunate enough to know him, not only during his illness but throughout his entire life.
“He embraced life fully, with joy, boundless energy, and a contagious sense of humour. He believed the most important things in life are simple: to eat, to drink, and to be loved. So don’t overthink it—eat, drink, and love,” she said.
Michael Patrick’s passing has left a void among family, friends, and fans, who remember him for both his talent on screen and his remarkable spirit off it.
